Numerical Evaluation of a HVAC System Based on a High-Performance Heat Transfer Fluid

Nanofluids have great potential to improve the heat transfer properties of liquids, as demonstrated by recent studies. This paper presents a novel idea utilizing nanofluid. It analyzes performance HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) system using high-performance fluid (water-glycol nanofluid with nanoparticles Al2O3), in university campus Lecce, Italy. The work describes dynamic model building and its heating cooling system, realized through simulation software TRNSYS 17. use inseminated real is an innovative application that difficult find scientific literature so far. focuses on comparing efficiency working traditional water-glycol mixture same uses Al2O3-nanofluid. results obtained means simulations confirmed what theoretically assumed, indicating conditions lead lower operating costs higher COP EER, guaranteeing optimal thermo-hygrometric comfort inside building. Finally, showed based alumina increases about 10% at time reduces electrical energy consumption system.
